Nestled at the bottom of our camping field, it offers a unique way to experience the beauty of the countryside without sacrificing comfort. Ideal for couples wanting to join in the camping experience with friends, but prefer a little bit more luxury.
The hut is available year-round for a perfect escape. In the cooler months, warm up by the log burner after a beach walk with your furry friend and a hearty lunch at the local pub.
When summer arrives, soak up the sunshine, fire up the BBQ, and enjoy a glass of wine. As night falls, gather around the campfire, roast marshmallows, and unwind under starry skies.

Rates and Booking Information

The Shepherd’s Hut accommodates up to two adults and one well-behaved dog. Please note that it is not suitable for children.

Rates: Prices range from £75 to £115 per night. A minimum two-night stay applies on weekends and during high season.

The bed and breakfast room was immaculate, cozy, and thoughtfully designed with every detail in mind for a relaxing getaway. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the countryside views from the window added to the charm.

The hosts were welcoming and attentive, ensuring we felt at home without being intrusive. Breakfast was an absolute highlight – freshly prepared, it truly set the tone for the day.

We also loved how close it was to some lively beach walks. Camber Sands was a standout, offering stunning views and fresh sea air – the perfect addition to a peaceful retreat.

The location was perfect: peaceful and tucked away, yet just a short drive to the heart of Rye and nearby attractions. If you’re looking for a warm and inviting stay with character, Hare and Hounds is a perfect choice. We can’t wait to return!
